What is Steel Frame
A building system using a structure of light-gauge galvanised steel profiles, calculated and manufactured for each project. It is assembled using a dry construction method and can accommodate the finishes specified in the design.
Benefits, defined for each project
Made-to-measure fabrication
Profiles calculated and manufactured for the project, with clear planning for every phase.
Itemised quotation
The scope and itemised costs are set out in writing for each project—not as a one-size-fits-all fixed price.
Insulation specified for each project
Insulation is specified in the project according to the location and intended use of the building.
Design calculations tailored to the location
The structure is calculated for the loads and conditions at the building site.
Corrosion protection
Galvanised steel with protection specified according to exposure and project requirements.
Dry construction
Dry assembly uses less water and creates less construction debris on site; steel is a recyclable material.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a permit to build with Steel Frame?
It depends on the intended use, the municipality and the project. The project’s engineer or architect determines the permit process; we can guide you during the initial consultation.
How long does a Steel Frame build take?
The timeframe depends on the scope, the project and the permit process. We specify it in our proposal rather than making generic promises about weeks.
Is it suitable near the sea?
Corrosion protection is specified according to exposure and the project requirements. No material is immune to the marine environment; the design takes it into account.
What finishes are possible?
Interior and exterior finishes are selected according to the project design.
How much does it cost?
It depends on each project. We prepare an itemised quotation with the scope set out in writing; we do not provide generic cost comparisons.
Can a Steel Frame home be mortgaged or insured?
Please confirm this with your bank and insurer. We cannot guarantee their terms.
What do Stalart and Molmex each do?
Stalart calculates, designs and manufactures the profiles for each project. The Molmex team, trained by Stalart, carries out the assembly. The exact division of responsibilities is determined by the scope of each project.
Do you work with clients who live outside Spain?
Yes. We can arrange consultations in Spanish and, when available, in English or Swedish, and organise visits when you are in the area.
